Has anyone seen this kind of Engelhard Kilo bars before?
Their numbers are quite low, like the pictured one A1061

Those look to be old, but not too old, since they are extruded rather than cast.
I prefer the older cast bars with all the imperfections. They remind me of Spanish treasure.

I think those are the bars from china with the bonus
lead core.

J/k

nice bars you have there for sure! Never seen those before
on my travels. Can you check google British site? I know engelhard made
some British versions too.

Agreed and well put!

I would not worry about any lead center especially with a silver kilo
They almost look like they were poured as a larger bar then cut and stamped.

Probably from UK. Cannot tell though. EDIT**on second look that is not Englhard UK logo

Did you get them??? Save me one

I saw your pics Blue Midnight, nice bars!

The logo is wrong as Agro is pointing out,
and they look like they come from a long string of silver that has been cut into kilo size.

Looked around the internet, but could not come across any references or pics
for this kind of bar.

It is not Engelhard, but faux stamped.
Edit : (At least that is my conclusion so far)

Thanks for all the feedback.

Sorry folks, the world does not revolve around America. There are far more European 1 K silver bars minted than any US quantity. Many much much more interesting.Check out: Metalor, Credit Suisse, Swiss Bank Corporation, Argor, Johnson Matthey, Mocatta - Engelhard, Heraeus, Schone, & Degussa.Pictured one of my favorites, however the Rothschilds bars the greatest.

Yes, we know that. Here is a plethora of AG kilos, take your pic!!!!
Kilo AG Bar thread
Personally I like the Wafer Bar Style (rounded). Like the Metalor bar

Also the rest of the world uses metric so it stands to reason!

Bullrider, Engelhard was produced in Europe, So the logo may vary. The UK logo has a representation of the Sun and the Moon on it. It is possible they are an old batch of Engelhards made by someone else, however they should be stamped with dual hallmarks then, most likely.

They are odd looking though. I have never seen them for sale.
